On the steep slopes of Mont Brouilly, in the Côte de Brouilly AOC in Beaujolais, Raphael Champier and his partner Cristelle Lucca, farm a .5 hectare vineyard that boasts 80 and 90 year-old Gamay vines. After a long, slow 19 day maceration using whole clusters this cuvee ages for 12 months in used oak barrels. The result is a classically structured and pure Cru Beaujolais from the outstanding 2014 vintage.
