The 2013 Combottes is a lovely wine. Quintessential 1er Cru from Gevery-Chambertin. Alluring and sophisticated perfumes of black and red cherries, spices, smoke and flowers. There is a silky mouth feel that has a light chalky, mineral note. A cool sense of tension and fine cut balance the finish. All framed by a discreet and now superbly integrated use of 25% new oak.
