Condrieu Lône 2017 is 100% Viognier from five different sites of the appellation -- Jeanraude, Verlieu, Peyrolland, Saint Agatha and Bassenon. These sites vary in exposition from full south to southeast on steep slopes overlooking the Rhone river. Like all of Julien's vineyard work, things are handled manually. Each of the sites is vinified separately and blended for aging in barrel. Less than 10% new oak. High energy aromas of peach, pear, and mandarin buttress floral notes. Densely packed, suave and bright. Drink these over the next three years as you give your Vernon a bit of cellar time.
