Organic and Biodynamic -- Rossignol-Trapet has been a pioneering domaine in Burgundy. They fully converted all of their 26 acres of vineyards in 2004 after having begun the process in 1997. The majority of their holdings are in Gevrey Chambertin and they have about five acres in Beaune and Savigny-les-Beaune. The domaine is a combination of two families that came together in the early 1960s. In 1990, what we know today as Domaine Rossignol-Trapet came into existence and has been overseen day-to-day since then by brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol. Winemaking falls largerly to David with Nicolas carrying the significant administrative burden necessary to run the domaine. The lineup of wines from Gevrey-Chambertin runs the gamut from Bourgogne to Grand Cru and Beaune village and 1er Cru are in the mix.
