Variety: Pinot Noir
This Pernand-Vergelesses from Guillaume Guiton traces its roots back to 60 year-old 1er Cru vines in the Les Vergelesses vineyard. This vineyard is east facing and sits just below the Ils-des-Vergelesses vineyard on the main road from Beaune to Pernand-Vergelesses . This is a charming wine with a delicately sweet and ripe nose of black raspberrry enhanced by clove spice, forest floor and other earthy aromas and a pronounced mineral note. Sauve tannins and framing acidity result in a truly balanced, medium weight wine with great persistence.
