Variety: Pinot Bianco
A tiny production of only 1600 bottles! I regret we didn’t take more when we had the chance. Once again I tasted this wine three times in September, twice from samples Andrea sent to the U.S. and again in Cormons with Andrea. Consistently great each time. Like the Malvasia, about 20% of the Pinot Bianco is aged in old tonneau and the rest in concrete vat. Elegant and racy. I really like the Pinot Bianco in 2014. There is great cut on this wine. Citrus, apples, pears and an herbal note on the finish. Perfect acidity. Less richness than the ’13 and more precision. Medium body and a delicate 12.5% alcohol. Drink this over the next 3-4 years.
