From high altitude granite and sand sites on the northern end of the valley, this Viognier is racy, fresh, mineral and ready to be guzzled. That's why it's only $25 bucks. Four parcels are fermented separately and then aged in 400 and 500 liter used barrel for 10 months. Lovely pale yellow color. Spicy, pear, white peach and floral notes kick things off. It's easy to understand and easy to drink. Finishes with a touch of salinity to really clean things up. It makes a wonderful aperitif wine as you are kicking off for that long lunch or evening dinner. Come on, go for it!
