Leonis Buissonnante Beaujolais Villages, 2016 -750ml

Variety(ies):  Gamay

A bright ruby color and aromas of roses, crushed fresh strawberries, spice and an earthy note kick things off. The 85-year-old vines planted on pink granite are undoubtedly responsible for the richness in the mouth that is perfectly balanced by supple tannin. Aged in neutral barrique and vats. The combination of old vines and barrel-aging yields a serious, energetic and delicious wine that is an absolute joy to drink right now, although decanting won’t hurt it a bit. Serve with charcuterie, roast chicken, pork dishes and mild cheeses. Great versatility.
