Variety(ies): Pinot Noir
Nice lifted aromas of strawberry and savory notes. There is a beguiling depth to this wine and an amazing streak of acidity that adds intensity and energy to the glass. Tart cranberrry and pomegranate join the sweeter fruits on the pallate. A nod to the region from the back end tannin help to make it a wine of place. It certainly leans Burgundian in structure and concentration. Never heavy. I think with a bit of time the tannins will recede and this will be a wonderfully elegant bottle of Pinot Noir. It’s fermented in stainless steel and then malolactic fermentation takes place in used barrique. Aged for nine months in the same barrels. This is a steal!
